Paisley's Room

I finally wanted to share some pictures of Paisley's room. When I started thinking about planning a little girl's room, this is totally not the route I thought I would go down (like pink walls-ha!) but I'm so glad I did and I love how it turned out. It is peaceful, girly, elegant, and I did it all on a budget!
This is one of the most special pieces in her room. This bookshelf was made with lots of love by hand by her Daddy and Pops. I can't wait to read her all of those books to her.

This is an overview of her room. The amazing mural was freehanded by my mom, cousin, and cousin's friend April.

Her glider which I know her and I will spend many nights in! I got the side table and lamp on clearance at Target and I love how they look.

This is another one of my favorite parts of the room- the dresser was our 'splurge' but I know she will use it for years to come. The mirror is just an old frame I had in the garage that I repurposed by spray painting white, taking to a glass shop to get a mirror cut and then decaled with her initals from Etsy.

And some of her 'friends' waiting in her crib to play. This also shows my bedding well- I love it so much! It's Serena and Lily and how I got the 'bird' inspiration from. I also have to brag on her crib- we got it for a steal off Craigslist- it was a $600 crib that we got for $70!

It's all ready and just missing our little girl! Two weeks and counting down! We go to the doctor tomorrow and I can't wait to hear what she has to say!

37 weeks!

(I apologize for the fashion faux paus- I had this same dress on in last week's picture but I only have so many wear-to-work dressy choices that fit anymore and I refuse to buy much more with only 3 weeks left to go!)

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 37 Weeks...I can't believe it!
Size of baby: A Watermelon :) She measured approximately 7 pounds 2 ounces on our ultrasound this morning. Our doctor is guessing she will be a little over 7.5 at delievery- perfect!
Gender: A GIRL!!! Paisley Annette Hayes
Maternity Clothes: Yes- all and I'm getting so sick of them! I also can still fit into some of Jonathan's shirts which have become my new favorite sleepwear.
Movement: All day I get to feel her sweet kicks and movement...Love it!
Sleep: Not the best- it is harder to get comfortable and I usually wake up at 4 or 5am every night and take awhile to go back to sleep but it is all worth and just preparing me for what is to come!
Symptoms: LOTS of back pain and some Braxton Hicks!
Cravings: Orange juice (like always) and last week I HAD to have a Burge's turkey salad sandwich and it was AMAZING!
Best moment this week: Going to the doctor this morning and hearing that she is doing great, she is head down and ready to do (although I am only barely dialated), and we got to see her sweet profile. She has the cutest button nose and the most beautiful, full lips.

Paisley, your Daddy and I are so in love with you already and can't wait for you to arrive. Your room is ready, everything is put together, and I even started packing our hospital bags last night- we are just waiting for you to come and complete our lives! God is so good!

5 weeks to go...!

35 Weeks

Size of the baby: About 21 inches long and a little over 5 pounds

Maternity clothes: Yes!! And I'm still sick of them all..ha!

Gender: GIRL! Paisley Annette Hayes

Movement: She doesn't move as much anymore (I think things are getting tight in there) but when she does...it is VERY strong!

Sleep: Not going as well anymore- lots of bathroom trips during the night and the occasional backaches. This was the first week I woke up in the middle of the night and thought, "I could just get up and start cleaning."

What I miss: Regular clothing, sleeping on my stomach, and being able to go outside and run in this amazing weather!

Cravings: Orange juice, salads, and sweets!

Symptoms: Lots of back pain and just feeling BIG!

Best moment this week: Realizing that it is possible and she could come at any time now.

What I'm looking forward to in the next week: A few small baby showers and birthing class on Saturday (ah!)!

I know I have been a terrible blogger lately but I really want to try and get better- I have lots of great showers, maternity pics, AND Paisley's fabulous room to share!

First Baby Shower

The adorable front door.

A house divided...we already got some cute Razorback stuff and LSU. I said that's fine but she'll be a born and raised Arkansas girl so we'll always know what she'll wear on the LSU v. Arkansas games!

My fabulous hostesses- I love these girls and could not live without them in my life! Very special friends!

All my guests

A special 'Future EEE' outfit from Aunt Monica :) Love!

Joy :)

My Mamaw, Mom, and Abby- Abby had too much fun!

Just some of the cute little details they did. I LOVED this cute little birdhouse and it looks fabulous in her room now.

The amazing spread...they thought of everything...dips, fruit, cookies, quiche, cake, and even little M&M's in her colors that said 'Paisley'.

The adorable cake brought all the way from Rick's in Fayetteville! The picture does not do it justice and it tasted just as good!

It was a wonderful first shower with lots of friends and pledge sisters. I was overwhelmed by all the goodies we got for Miss Paisley. I was truely showered with blessings and love!

30 Weeks

30 weeks

Size of the baby: Head of lettuce & about 3.3 pounds!

Total weight gain: About 17 pounds

Maternity clothes: Yes!! And I'm already sick of them all..ha!

Gender: GIRL! Paisley Annette Hayes

Movement: Still very crazy!

Sleep: Sleep is going ok... I wake up with Charlie Horses on occasion and sleeping on my side gives me side cramps and back aches a lot.

What I miss: Being able to lay on my stomach and able to move around easier.

Cravings: Orange juice and carbs!

Symptoms: Lots of back pain this week and the heartburn and indigestion..ugh!

Best moment this week: Seeing her room come together! I can't wait to show it off but I'm going to resist until it is a little farther along!

Another best moment for me- The random lady who passed me at the grocery store smiling and said, "I just know your baby is going to be beautiful." She made my day :)

We go to the doctor in the morning and I can't wait to get an update and hear her precious little heartbeat!

Who loves bows? I do!

I just had to share with everyone an awesome accessory site. They have great hairbows at GREAT prices! I've been trying to resist submitting my order until some showers have passed. I compared their prices to Hobby Lobby and they are even cheaper than their stuff! The website is www.polkadotposies.com.

I mean who doesn't love bows for $1?! One of my favorite things are the super cute crochet flowers (I think Paisley NEEDS those!)

28.5 WEEKS

(Jonathan managed to get the camera cord in both pics...nice!)

28.5 WEEKS!! (I can't seem to get them on the first of the week) And if you're keeping track, no, this doesn't add up because my doctor moved my due date up almost a week based on her measurements and chart...I am now due October 12th!

Size of the baby: Length of a head of califlower & almost 3 pounds!

Total weight gain: About 15 pounds (ah!)

Maternity clothes: Yes! And after being pregnant, I want to become a maternity fashion designer! It's so hard to find cute maternity clothes. I've tried on 15 different dresses trying to find a cute one for upcoming showers!

Gender: GIRL! Paisley Annette Hayes

Movement: We went to Saturday night church last night and she went crazy kicking during every worship song which was so neat to me. I hope it not only means she'll love music but that she has the passion for our Christ like her Daddy and I have been praying for her.

Sleep: I sleep...a little. I've learned I can't sleep through the night though and I can't sleep in anymore but I guess that is just preparing me for motherhood.

What I miss: Being able to lay on my stomach!

Cravings: This week it has been sweets...jellybeans, chocolate, icecream...you name it!

Symptoms: Lots of back pain this week and the heartburn and indigestion..ugh!

Best moment this week: My doctor's visit this past Wednesday (just not the glucose test...ha!) I loved hearing her heartbeat and hearing that she is still doing great.
